I n partnership with the Georgia Aquarium, The Evaluation Center conducted a longitudinal evaluation of the Aquarium's educational programming. Working with Aquarium staff, Center staff collected data on the operation and impact of programs intended to promote students' understanding and awareness of concepts associated with science, biology, and environmental education. An emphasis of the project was examining the impact of participation in Aquarium programs on students' mastery of Georgia Performance Standards. The project used a series of electronic, web-based, and traditional methods to collect data from a substantial proportion of the 70,000 students who were engaged in educational programs at the Aquarium.
